I know you were expecting an Update today

But it’s been shelved for a few more days whilst we try and cram in as much info as we can.

Then again that’s not my reason for writing this - My reason is Football Manager 2008.

For some of you the Bad news is that I’m planning to step down from full time editing for the release of FM08. After editing FM2005 through the 2007 version I’ve come to the conclusion that it’d probably be nice to sit back and play the game again.

Now, this does not mean the end of FMupdates. Just a shift in focus. I am planning on being able to fulfil one of the features I had earmarked to set this site apart from good ol’ FM sorted. One of my plans when I got this place in motion (1 year and 9 days ago) was to test drive other updates and rate them so that you guys could find the best possible updates.

Unfortunately as FM2007 was such a dry year in the updating world - only 3 main players made it past January and Only 2 worked all year round (Ourselves included).

Now for the interesting part - As I seem to have built up a hefty following for the FMupdates brand (ha, how professional I mean Poncy did that sound) I’m looking for some dedicated Individual(s) to take over the reins of one of the most dedicated roles in our community - providing a decent update.

Now I know most of you are in the mindset that it’s quite easy - nothing to do until january, then sit back until Summer. How wrong can you be - There is no such thing as time off in the world of editing. There is always something to change be it Competition names, Name corrections, real award names, manager changes - you’d be surprised how much goes on outside of the transfer window!
