The End! for now
When I say “for now” I mean it could be forever - Knowing me though it probably won’t be!! Anyway having gotten back in to regular playing of FM coupled with helping out with official FM09 research = little or no time to edit. Factor in “editing fatigue” and it all grounds to a halt.
Well that’s the boring stuff out of the way, I know you’re only interested to find out what’s gonna happen with this site? Well at this stage - Nadda! But, the 3 main elements of the update will continue to exist. The database previously known as the FMupdates/FMsweden is now in the full time ownership of FMsweden. The forum is continuing to thrive from FMweegie moving in, and finally but no means least important is my faithful update crew - They can be found these days over at Goal-Kick producing a joint update with the FMView members.
So that wraps up why this place has been dead for a wee while!!

From the 1st May FMupdates.co.uk will become ….. FMupdates.net. There are several reasons for this which either will become clear or I’ll make clearer nearer the time. Just thought I’d give you all advance warning to get ready to change your bookmarks!!
In other news, the new update should be released at some stage tomorrow.
The latest update is now out!
Well it’s Sunday and we have yet another update out!! This is the first in a week long effort to get Fridays release as perfect as possible. Download it, check it out and report the most minor of things so that we can get it sorted. Even if you’re not 100% sure if something is incorrect, report it anyway and we’ll look into it.

A New breed of Update …
Starting from this release not only will you get the quality of arguably the best FM update from the English Speaking world, you also get the best update from the Swedish speaking world courtesy of FMsweden. So you’re now wondering what exactly does this mean - well quite simply, a more complete, more wide ranging better update.
So what are you waiting for? Click the “latest changes” button to find out what’s been changed, hit the “latest update” button to download it and hit the “forum” button to complain about something trivial that we missed!!
A couple of things ….
Firstly, yes we were hoping to have another update out by now but due to the shear volume of changes we’re implementing it’s taking a while longer than I was hoping for. Currently I’m aiming for Friday evening but If I can get it done before, It shall be released! Secondly for those who have an eye for detail read on. Read more

seeing as the mass opinion is that everybody wants to see our update coverage expanded overseas, we’re willing to try and do our best to accomodate this. Unfortunately there is only so much time we get to do our own research as well as input it all in the Database.
What more do you want?
Exactly as the title says, this post is for all the people who played FM07 with our update. I know there was gaps in what we managed to achieve and once again we’re going to try and improve on that. But that’s not the point of this post, the point is for you to tell us which countries you feel we sucked at, what things we didn’t update, what you’d like to see updated etc. etc.
So get commenting!!!
We’re not dead, honest!
Well it’s been a little quiet on the update front lately, mainly because SI have been sitting on the new patch that everyone was expecting two weeks ago. Finally today, the light at the end of the tunnel began to be seen when SI announced that the long awaited patch should be out early next week. This means that finally we can roll into action and make our FM08 update bigger and better than last year. We’ve already spoken to some people about implementing a plan to make an update like you’ve never seen before - and if it all works out, you’ll never look at another update in the same light again!!
In the meantime, head over to the forums and report issues that you want to make sure are included in the next update.
I know you were expecting an Update today
But it’s been shelved for a few more days whilst we try and cram in as much info as we can.
Then again that’s not my reason for writing this - My reason is Football Manager 2008.
